A FORTY-five-year-old woman has registered at Rwenzori Christian Vocational Secondary School in Kasese to pursue a four-year course for the Uganda Certificate of Education.
John Nzinjah reports that Hellen Rutabona who completed primary seven at Kamaiba Primary School last year, passed PLE in division 3 with aggregate 30.
"I am a preacher with the Jehovah's Witness but my preaching has been limited because I was using only the local languages. I hope that I will be able to preach in English after my S.4," she said recently.
Rutabona, who speaks fluent Swahili said a 'good samaritan' had offered to pay her fees for the first term and was hoping more people would offer to sponsor her.
1) If it's to further the Good News, why doesn't her congregation or the Society pay for her education? Wouldn't that be loving?
2) Would ANY JW ever pay the fees for a non-JW who wanted to attend this school?
Odd thread but I was wanted to vent. :o)
